Anecdotally, it seemed like it was a bit cooler in the hills north of Fairbanks, relative to PAFA area. No surprise, especially with the winds. But, can you even imagine a scenario where we might get any kind of significant temperature inversion this time of year? I know, we get them in the summer when it might drop a little below freezing at low elevations, but I kept thinking (without having a clue) that I just can't imagine getting the near zero temperatures this time of year through inversions. Almost seems like it needs to be advected in?
